Slow Down And Change The World

Last week we had the opportunity to hang out with the incredible people at KLOVE and Air1. And I honestly cannot exaggerate the emphasis on the "incredible people" part. With every person we met, there was a growing sense of the value they place on the ministry aspect of their jobs. I was humbled and amazed as I heard Scott, Kerri, and Ashton share stories of people they have been able to talk and pray with...and would eventually find myself deeply moved when given the opportunity to pray for some of these people myself.

What has struck me in the days since is a renewed sense of the hurt and desperation of the people I walk past everyday. It's amazing how our busy lives can blind us to the ministry opportunities that are all around us. I don't think most of us are too selfish to share Jesus, I just think we're busy...too busy. So here’s a challenge that I'm having to wrestle with myself...slow down! I know that our lives have to be lived...there are kids to get to school and jobs to be done...but there are precious opportunities right in the middle of it all to genuinely express the love of Jesus to those who so need it!

The prayer for us is a simple one..."Jesus, even in our busy lives give us your eyes and ears so we won’t miss being a part of things that last an eternity". Now, go slow down and change the world!

eyes and ears

wanting the eyes and ears from the father to not see physically but spiritually is an absolute must for all Christians that follow Christ.

The leading of the Holy Spirit is how we can see spirituall and hear spiritually to what God has for us and wants us to do. Peace
